Every Friday night at West Allotment Wildlings, something exciting is happening at the tables — and last night was no exception. Our regular Warcry night brought together a brilliant group of 6 to 8 players for an evening of fast-paced skirmish warfare in the Mortal Realms — and by all accounts, it was an absolute blast.

What Is Warcry?
For the uninitiated, Warcry is Games Workshop's fast-play skirmish game set in the Age of Sigmar universe. With small warbands, dramatic terrain, and scenarios that resolve quickly, it's the perfect game for a club night — tight, tense, and hugely rewarding whether you're a veteran of the Mortal Realms or picking up your first warband. Games can be completed in under an hour, meaning there's plenty of time to squeeze in multiple battles across the evening.
A Night to Remember — Hosted by Paul
A huge thank you goes to Paul, who organises and hosts our Warcry sessions. Paul brings the same energy and enthusiasm to every session that makes these nights such a highlight of the club calendar. Whether you're a returning regular or just getting started with the game, Paul's always on hand to help with rules, list building, or getting your warband ready for their first campaign.
One of the things that makes this group stand out is the quality on display across the table. The warbands on show last night were beautifully painted — a real testament to the talent and dedication of our members. And it wasn't just the miniatures that impressed; the terrain set up for the night was stunning, creating an immersive battlefield that brought the Mortal Realms to life right there at the Holystone Hub.

A Regular Fixture on the Club Calendar
Warcry has become one of our most consistent and well-attended sessions at WAW, with a regular group of 6 to 8 players turning up each time. There's a real community forming around this game — people who look forward to it every session, who are investing time and care into their warbands, and who genuinely enjoy the craic as much as the game itself. It's exactly the kind of thing that makes the Wildlings special.

Want to Join the Warcry Group? Here's How!
