Beyond the Battlefield — GW's Hidden Gems

Games Workshop's back catalogue is a treasure chest that most people never open — and that's exactly where some of the best games live. From the cobbled streets of the Old World to the frozen pitch of a Blood Bowl stadium, this is where we celebrate everything GW makes beyond the big two. You might just discover your new favourite game.

Common Games we Play

Take a look at some of the games we play and how you can get involved

The Old World

The return of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. The Old World brings back the classic setting — the Empire, Bretonnia, the Undead, the Greenskins — with a rules system that blends old-school feel with modern refinements. A joyful homecoming for veterans and a rich world for newcomers.

Legions Imperialis

Epic-scale warfare in the Horus Heresy era. Command vast armies of tiny models representing Space Marine Legions, Titan Legions, and Solar Auxilia clashing across war-torn worlds. Grand, cinematic, and deeply satisfying for fans of the 30K setting.

Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game

The definitive tabletop adaptation of Tolkien's world. Whether you're recreating the Fellowship's journey or the Battle of Helm's Deep, MESBG delivers deeply thematic gameplay with some of the most beautiful and characterful miniatures GW has ever made.

Man O' War / Dreadfleet

Naval warfare in the Old World and beyond. Man O' War is the classic GW game of fleet battles on the fantasy seas, while Dreadfleet is its modern spiritual successor — incredible ships, treacherous waters, and a game unlike anything else in the range.

Blood Bowl

One of GW's most enduring specialist games — a gloriously chaotic combination of tactical depth, dark humour, and spectacular miniatures. Blood Bowl has outlasted countless other titles because it is simply so much fun to play, regardless of whether your team is having a good season or a catastrophically bad one.

Mordheim

The game that refuses to be forgotten. A skirmish campaign game of desperate warbands hunting wyrdstone in a cursed, shattered city. Despite being out of print for decades, Mordheim endures because its blend of narrative campaign play and brutal skirmish gaming has never been bettered.
