OUR GROUPS

Whether you're a lifelong gamer or you've never placed a miniature on a table in your life, the West Allotment Wildlings is a place for you. We're a friendly, welcoming community of hobbyists based in North Tyneside who love painting, collecting, and pushing little plastic soldiers around gorgeous scenery.

From epic galaxy-spanning warfare to gritty skirmishes in cursed trenches, we play a huge variety of tabletop wargames — and there's always a seat, a spare rulebook, and a brewed cuppa waiting. Take a look below at just some of the games you'll find us playing, and don't be shy — no experience needed, just enthusiasm!

Games Workshop

The Worlds of Warhammer

If there's one name that dominates the tabletop wargaming hobby, it's Games Workshop — and at the Wildlings, we embrace everything they make. From the grim darkness of the far future to the sweeping fantasy realms of the Mortal Realms, GW's universes offer a lifetime of painting, collecting, gaming, and storytelling that few other publishers can match.

Beyond the Workshop

The Wildlings have always been a club that plays what they love — and that means our tables are home to a brilliant variety of wargames well beyond the GW stable. From the ranked fantasy battles of Conquest to the gritty historical warfare of Bolt Action, from orbital fleet combat in Dropfleet Commander to the eerie folk-horror skirmishes of Trench Crusade, we celebrate the full breadth of what the wargaming hobby has to offer.

Clubs & Groups

Grow Your Hobby, Find Your People

Gaming is only half the story at the Wildlings — the hobby side of things is just as important to us, and we've built a growing range of dedicated groups to help every member improve, experiment, and find their niche. Whether you've never held a paintbrush or you're chasing your first competition podium, there's a group here with your name on it.

Roll Dice, Tell Stories, Have Fun

Not every great evening at the Wildlings ends in a battle report. Dungeon crawlers and board games are a beloved part of our club culture — a chance to sit down together, cooperate, laugh, and share in the simple joy of playing a great game with great people. Whether you're delving into cursed cities with the Warhammer Quest range, reliving childhood memories over a game of HeroQuest, or discovering something completely new from our library of board games, this side of the club is all about fun first.
