The League of Wildlings — Our Competitive Warhammer 40,000 Leagues

At West Allotment Wildlings, we believe that Warhammer 40,000 is at its best when played with a community around you — a group of people who share your passion, push your skills, and make every dice roll count. That belief is at the heart of the League of Wildlings, our homegrown competitive league series for the North East wargaming community.

Based out of West Allotment, North Tyneside, our leagues bring together players of all experience levels for structured, competitive Warhammer 40,000 play — with rankings, matched play rules, and a real sense of progression from season to season.

What Is the League of Wildlings?

The League of Wildlings is our flagship competitive format — a season-based league in which players face off across multiple rounds of matched play Warhammer 40,000. Players are ranked on wins, battle points, and sportsmanship, with results tracked through Best Coast Pairings, the industry-standard tournament software used at events around the world.

Alongside our competitive league, we also run the League of Extraordinary Wildlings — a narrative campaign variant where players build a story for their force as the season progresses. Whether you're a seasoned tournament veteran or painting your first squad, there's a place for you in our leagues.

Our Seasons So Far

We're proud to have run multiple successful seasons of competitive and narrative league play, each one growing in size and ambition. Our seasons have seen players bring a wide variety of factions to the table — from the iron might of the Adeptus Astartes to the swarming menace of the Tyranids — and every season has produced standout moments, surprise results, and brilliant competition.

Part of Something Bigger — King Beyond the Wall

Our leagues are also part of a wider North East competitive circuit. West Allotment Wildlings is proud to be a founding co-organiser of the King Beyond the Wall — the ultimate end-of-year Warhammer 40,000 invitational, hosted alongside True North, Olympic Miniatures, and Majority T3.

The King Beyond the Wall brings together the top 24 ranked players from across all participating clubs' events throughout the season. Competing in a League of Wildlings event earns you ranking points toward this prestigious invite-only invitational — meaning every game in our league could be your path to the crown.
